Fjmhss started functioning in 1964, with 96 students of classes from 5th standard .In 1966 Fjmhss started functioning as Upper primary School and in 1976 was upgraded and the first batch of students appeared for SSLC exam in March 1979.
Our ‘mission’ is to achieve our ‘vision’ through educating the youth in a spirit of service to the humanity with scholastic excellence, discipline, hardwork, moral and religious values and national integration. These priorities are meant to prepare the youth to lead out through the root of education.
Our institution aims at creating leaders” who will champion the cause of justice, equality, love, truth, peace and will incessantly work for the growth and delopment of the society and the Nation. The school is situated only 4km from the Muvattupuzha town. This enables students easy transportation to their homes.
Fr Joseph Memoriyal Higher secoundary School was established in the year 1986, the school has already made its presence felt in the education field of Kerala within a few years. FJMHSS has become one of the most sought after schools in the state.

All the class rooms in our school is converted to smart class rooms in order to make teaching more easier.
We have a well-stocked library and reading room. The children are expected to use the library fruitfully during their spare time.
The School arranges conveyance facility to various places. School buses will ply in all directions within a radius of 20 km.
